Zia Natural Gas Company’s Gas Cost Factor
Lincoln County
Zia Natural Gas Company has applied to the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission to adjust its Gas Cost Factor for the next year, effective October 1, 2011. For the Lincoln County System, the new Gas Cost Factor is $0.4170/ccf, up slightly from $0.39540/ccf. The average residential customer uses 40ccf in October. Therefore, the average bill will increase from $36.60 to $37.56, an increase The cost of purchasing and transporting gas to Zia’s system is passed directly through to the customer as the Gas Cost Factor. A regulated utility is not allowed to make or lose money of the cost of gas. As always, Zia Natural Gas Company encourages all of their customers to winterize their homes and conserve energy by lowering the thermostat when not at home. For customers who do need help with winter heating bills, assistance is available through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) at (575)378-1762.

Zia Natural Gas Company has applied to the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission to adjust its Gas Cost Factor for the next year, effective October 1, 2011. For the Lea County System, the new Gas Cost Factor is $0.4753/ccf, up slightly from $0.4507/ccf. The average residential customer uses 40ccf in October. Therefore, the average bill will increase from $40.19 to $41.17. The cost of purchasing and transporting gas to Zia’s system is passed directly through to the customer as the Gas Cost Factor. A regulated utility is not allowed to make or lose money of the cost of gas. As always, Zia Natural Gas Company encourages all of their customers to winterize their homes and conserve energy by lowering the thermostat when not at home. For customers who do need help with winter heating bills, assistance is available through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) at (575)397-3400 ext 101.

Zia Natural Gas Company has applied to the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission to adjust its Gas Cost Factor for the next year, effective October 1, 2011. For the Colfax County System, the new Gas Cost Factor is $0.46220, up from $0.4079/ccf. The average residential customer uses 40ccf in October. Therefore, the average bill will increase from $37.40 to $39.56. The cost of purchasing and transporting gas to Zia’s system is passed directly through to the customer as the Gas Cost Factor. A regulated utility is not allowed to make or lose money of the cost of gas. As always, Zia Natural Gas Company encourages all of their customers to winterize their homes and conserve energy by lowering the thermostat when not at home. For customers who do need help with winter heating bills, assistance is available through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) at the local Human Services (HSD) office, (575)445-2308 ext 112.
Dona Ana County
Zia Natural Gas Company has applied to the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission to adjust its Gas Cost Factor for the next year, effective October 1, 2011. For the Dona Ana County System, the new Gas Cost Factor is $0.5206, up from $0.4585/ccf. The average residential customer uses 40ccf in October. Therefore, the average bill will increase from $37.66 to $39.84. The cost of purchasing and transporting gas to Zia’s system is passed directly through to the customer as the Gas Cost Factor. A regulated utility is not allowed to make or lose money of the cost of gas. As always, Zia Natural Gas Company encourages all of their customers to winterize their homes and conserve energy by lowering the thermostat when not at home. For customers who do need help with winter heating bills, assistance is available through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) at the local Human Services (HSD) office, (575) 524-6500.
